It does, as explained below, still offer limited functionality via Google Home, however. The only caveat is that Denon has confirmed it will not be adding Google Assistant to the Home 250 as first promised, so if you had hopes of integrating it into a Google speaker group, you’ll have to look elsewhere. The fact the Home 250 is now also available for £100 less than it was when we first reviewed it – it’s now £350 – makes it easy to recommend to anyone looking for a great-sounding smart speaker, so we’ve given it our Recommended award. ![]() ![]() If you already own the speaker, all you need to do is update its firmware via the Heos mobile app. Update: Denon has recently added Amazon’s voice assistant, Alexa, to the Home 250, so you can now use the speaker just like one of your existing Echo speakers (minus support for Alexa Calling and Drop In features).
